Air freight to Uzbekistan
When the cargo is urgent and freight cost is secondary
Transit time: 3–7 days
Air freight is chosen when standing still costs more than the freight does: a contract about to break, a line that has stopped, seasonal goods that will not be wanted in a month. From China, Korea and Europe the cargo is in Tashkent on the third to seventh day. Air is charged not on weight but on the greater of two figures — actual weight and volumetric weight, where a cubic metre counts as 167 kilograms. So a carton of light bulky goods costs the same as cargo three times heavier, and it is worth measuring the volume before choosing air.
How it works
- Volumetric weight: a cubic metre counts as 167 kilograms. You pay on the greater of the two — actual or volumetric.
- Consolidated air freight starts from a few dozen kilograms: the consignment flies alongside other cargo, with its own documents and its own clearance.
- A dedicated shipment — when the cargo is large or needs its own temperature regime.
- Transit of 3–7 days from cargo readiness to the warehouse in Tashkent, including the road legs and clearance.
- Dangerous goods, lithium batteries and anything falling under the IATA rules travel under a separate procedure and must be packed and marked accordingly — tell us in advance.
- Perishables and medicines travel under temperature control for the whole leg, including the wait at the airport.
- The air waybill is issued per consignment and its number shows the cargo moving; we report the status ourselves, you do not have to ask.
What we need from you
- The city of departure and the airport, if it is already known.
- The weight of the consignment and the dimensions of every package — without dimensions an air rate cannot be quoted.
- What the goods are: this decides whether they can go by air at all.
- How urgent it is: a single day sometimes changes both the routing and the price.

Frequently asked questions
How is weight calculated in air freight?
On the greater of two: actual weight and volumetric weight, where a cubic metre counts as 167 kilograms. A one-cubic-metre consignment weighing 60 kilograms is charged as 167 — which is why volume matters more than weight for air.
What is the minimum weight you take?
As consolidated air freight, from a few dozen kilograms. But the smaller the consignment, the more visible the fixed costs in the rate: clearance and ground handling do not depend on weight.
What cannot be sent by air?
Some dangerous goods are not accepted at all; others only under the IATA rules, with special packing, marking and their own documents. Lithium batteries, and anything with them inside, fall under those rules almost always. Tell us what the goods are and we will say plainly before you pay for anything.
Why 3–7 days rather than overnight?
The flight itself takes hours; the rest is the road legs, waiting for a flight with space for the cargo, and customs clearance. One of those seven days is the flying.
Is air much dearer than road?
Several times over, and the gap widens with volume. Air pays off when a production stoppage or a broken contract costs more than the difference in freight. We price both and show the difference in money and in days.
How long does transit take?
Typically 3–7 days depending on the origin, border queues and cargo type. The exact transit time is fixed in the contract.
Do you take groupage cargo?
Yes, we accept from a single pallet — no need to wait for a full truck load.
Who handles customs?
We arrange it: we pick the HS code, calculate the duties in advance and run the release through a broker. You do not need to find a declarant — we answer for the timing and the amount.
Can the cargo be insured?
Yes, we insure both full loads and groupage at the client’s request.
