Oversized and project cargo
Machinery, plant and structures that do not fit a standard truck: we pick the equipment, work out the route and obtain the permits.
Get a quoteA shipment counts as oversized when the cargo exceeds the dimensions or weight permitted for ordinary transport. What sets it apart is not the rate per kilometre but the preparation: the route is checked against bridges, overpasses, power lines and turning radii, and a permit is required before departure.
How we move it
- We match the equipment to the cargo: low-bed trailer, flat rack, extendable semi-trailer or modular platform.
- We work out the route in advance — clearance heights, bridge capacity and turning radii.
- We obtain the permit for a heavy or oversized load and agree the route.
- We arrange escort vehicles and, where needed, the temporary removal of obstacles by agreement.
- We calculate the lashing plan and the centre of gravity — both safety and clearance to travel depend on it.
What we need from you
- Exact dimensions and weight, with a drawing showing the centre of gravity
- Permit for an oversized or heavy load
- Approved route
- Stowage and lashing plan
What the price depends on
- Dimensions and weight
- The route and the restrictions on it
- Mode of transport
- Permits and approvals
- Urgency
- Insured value of the cargo
Modes of transport
We match the mode to your cargo, deadline and budget — not the other way round.
Frequently asked questions
What do you need to quote?
Dimensions in three axes, the weight, and the loading and unloading points. A drawing or a photo with a tape measure lets us calculate the lashing plan and pick the equipment more precisely.
Why does oversized cargo take longer?
Most of the time goes on permits and route approval rather than on driving. Such moves often run in daylight only and take detours around tight spots.
Does it need a special route?
Yes. The route is checked against clearance heights, bridge capacity and turning radii — the direct road is not always passable for a low-bed trailer.
Can the cargo be insured?
Yes, and we recommend it: project equipment is usually worth more than the transport itself.
