Navoi is the region of the free economic zone and the cargo airport that works as a transhipment hub. Many warehouses belong to mining and chemical plants. For air consignments not bound for Tashkent, Navoi is often closer and cheaper to handle.
What storage costs and how long it may last
The customs storage fee is the same nationwide — 3 to 4 per cent of the base calculation unit per tonne per day, that is 12,360–16,480 soum at a unit of 412,000. It depends neither on the region nor on the particular warehouse.
The warehouse's own tariff is a second, separate amount: pallet space, handling, stocktaking, temperature control. It is contractual, absent from the open data and varies several-fold. Ask in writing, and per operation rather than "monthly on average".
Terms differ by regime. Goods may stay in a customs warehouse for up to three years under law ZRU-913. Temporary storage runs to 60 days, or 10 for perishables, and is not a choice but a compulsory stop before the declaration is filed. Confusing the two is expensive: temporary storage defers nothing and does not let you release a consignment in parts.
